Eating here for more that 10 years. Truly the best falafel, balanced in spices and herbs, well seasoned and highly digestible. Hats off for the best harissa i have ever eaten. Most of the time is understaffed, a few more hands needed, or a more efficient personnel. Keep it alive!

Great affordable food! Really friendly staff! Menu also available in English. As a tourist in Athens with kids, appreciate how they make you feel comfortable and welcome.
WOW 👌 👏 😍 👍 🥰 So I got the falafel because I am fasting, and I have to say that it was outstanding WOW delicious beyond all expectations. I got one ate it up in 2 minutes, and then I ordered 2 more to take home. I can't wait to go back again and try EVERYTHING!!!!

Super friendly staff, honestly one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. They went out of their way to make us feel very welcome, explained the menu to us, and brought extra fries for our toddler. Best falafel I've had in a long time, the chicken skewers were amazing too. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Congratulations to the owners and service staff at Ali Merakli! They drew my children and me into their store with a very warm welcome and a sample falafel. We ended up buying falafel and chicken kebab sandwiches, which were excellent value. They won our business this way. We walked by several seemingly similar stores but these other stores didn't seem to be so friendly or welcoming as Ali Merakli.

Sure, the decor is dull and the streets depressing; this place is all about the grub. If you find yourself nearby, it's a must-visit. You won't regret any choice on the menu.
Every menu item shines with fresh, expertly balanced ingredients and flawless prep. The chicken livers sandwich is a must-try. Their falafel, the chicken shish taouk, and kebabs elevate simple street food to new culinary heights. The ingredients are fresh, the BBQ is on point, and the seasoning is a symphony of flavors.
You have a choice of ordering a sandwich (wrap) or portions. At around 2.5 euros for a sandwich, the prices are also extremely reasonable.
The place has a sitting area in the back, but as I told you, only come here for the excellent food. It’s not the one in the corner (that’s a more fancy one), it’s right next to it.

Excellent place. The rolls with chicken liver are amazing and my favorite. Also the owner and the staff are very friendly, amaizing place to start or end up your night. recommend it.

Bravo Guys! Didn’t expect to eat tht well! We had 1 chicken shish taouk and 1 kebab ! Both of them were amazing ! Will definitely come again to eat those but also rest of things u have! Maybe u can open a similar shop at southern Athens?

The first falafel 🧆 restaurant that opened in the area and the best! The quality is high and taste is always the same. It’s worth to taste the marinated chicken (shish taouk )✌🏼❤️

Once upon a time there use to be a falafel fastfood not far from were Ali metakli is now...20Y++ ago.. I am most delighted to confess that Ali Merakli is much better than 'Fat boy' used to be in felafel New Era! It's my second visit...anticipating to try the lachmatzun I noticed today . The staff is clean and professional offering a variety 4 peanuts.. 🙏
